If you are flying into the main airport, Amerigo Vespucci (more commonly referred to as Peretola) you can take a taxi to your accommodations (approximately 15 minutes). There is also a shuttle bus service running from the airport and takes approximately 20 minutes from the airport to the center of the city.

If you are flying into the Pisa airport (Galileo Galilei) you can take the Volinbus airport shuttle to downtown Florence or the airport train directly from the airport to the Florence train station.

Florence is situated on the Milan-Rome high-speed train line, with frequent and rapid connections both ways depending on which airport you fly into.
